Mitsubishi Heavy Industries invests in green ammonia, hydrogen firm

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries says it has invested in Starfre Energy (Denver, Colorado), a developer of modular chemical plants for production of green ammonia and hydrogen. Terms of the investment were not disclosed. Starfre owns a patented catalyst technology for use in green ammonia and hydrogen. Ammon has “an energy density comparable to fossil fuels and signifcantly higher than Li-ion batteries, compressed or liquid hydrogen,” Mitsubishi Heavy Industries says.
