Successful surgical repair of traumatic coelomic evisceration in three companion geckos

Background: Traumatic abdominal herniation with or without evisceration occurs with some regularity in dogs and cats, usually secondary to blunt force trauma or penetrating injuries. Sporadic peer-reviewed case reports have described herniorrhaphies in reptiles and amphibians, but none have described successful repair of acute traumatic eviscerations in companion lizards with long-term follow-up.
