Shanxi Jincheng Iron and Steel modernizes BF

China’s Shanxi Jincheng Iron and Steel has modernized a BF No.3 at Jincheng Fusheng Iron and Steel near Jincheng City, Shanxi Province, Metal Expert learnt from the company’s statement. The engineering companies Hebei Metallurgical Construction and MCC Dongfang carried out the overhaul of 1,380 cu m BF No.3 with a capacity of 1.16 million tpy. Within the project, charge feeding system and the furnace roof were upgraded; the furnace body and the casting yard were partially modernized; while a new blast heater, slag removal, dust removal systems and circulating water plants Nos.3 and 4 were installed. The company reports that the modernized BF will reach its maximum capacity in a week.
