Correction of exotropia and improved adduction by fixation of the anterior encircling fascia to the medial rectus insertion site following myectomy of the four horizontal rectus muscles for infantile nystagmus

She underwent myectomy2 of the four horizontal rectus muscles. At the time of myectomy, transposition of the nasal one-half of the superior and inferior rectus muscles to the medial rectus insertion site was performed bilaterally along with recessions of the superior and inferior oblique muscles to address the concurrent strabismus. Nystagmus amplitude was reduced 80%, with a null point in center gaze. She presented 4 years postoperatively with residual exo
