Deep drawing process of rectangular parts deep drawn from tailor welded blanks was studied. Two different types of tailor welded blanks were used in experiments. One consisting of different sheet materials: bake hardening steel BH220 and dual phase steel DP600 and with the same sheets thickness of 1.2 mm. Second one consisting of sheets from the same material TRIP steel 690T but with different thicknesses 1.2 and 1.0 mm. Three various weld line positions: longitudinal, transverse and diagonal were compared at both types of tailor welded blanks. Deep drawing process was characterised with uneven plastic flow and weld line displacement. The most significant weld line displacement was measured at using tailor welded blank consisting of different sheets materials and diagonal orientation of the weld line. Deep drawing of tailor welded blanks consisting of sheets with different materials was accompanied by earing of BH220 steel sheet. Deep drawing of tailor welded blanks consisting of sheets with different thicknesses was accompanied by wrinkling of thinner sheet.
