Three new microcaddisfly species from south-eastern Australia are described in three genera: Hellyethira genoa sp. n., Acritoptila sinuosa sp. n. and Oxyethira (Trichoglene) truncata sp. n. The resemblance of the new species in Hellyethira to the hypothesised ancestor of the Oxyethira subgenus Trichoglene is discussed.
