Emulsion antifoam for wood,construction and ink aqueous systems

Silair~TM C 205,developed at the Siliconi Commerciale SPA laboratories,is an emulsion antifoam based on organo-modif'^ siloxanes,ideal for the prevention and elimination of foam in water based systems(enamels,varnishes,paints and others),which are used in the building sector,wood coatings,leather finishing,inks,general industry and others.Due to its innovative formulation,Silair~TM C 205 combines a high deareating performance,thus avoiding trouble both during the manufacturing process and application with an excellent compatibility with the system where it is used,to obtain a dry foam-free film without any levelling defects such as the”fish eyes”or orange peel".The product is ideal to use during the final manufacturing stages of glossy,semi-glossy and matt enamels with any viscosity rate,based on acrylic,styrene-acrylic and polyurethane binders.It is highly effective in Opaque coating systems(carged and/or pigmented) and matt transparent(with high silica content) varnish based on acrylic and polyurethane binders with medium-low viscosity rate,used for example in wood coating and leather finishing(basecoat or topcoat).
