A Spotlight on Local Independent We Stand Hits the Road for America's Main Streets Contest

Small businesses like independent paint and decorating dealers are vital to the health of our economy. That's why Independent We Stand, a buy-local advocacy group sponsored in part by PPG Pittsburgh Paints, strives to bring attention to these small businesses. Independent We Stand put the buy-local movement front and center in late April when its team set off on the Great American Rocky Mountain Road Trip. The nearly 1,400-mile journey was an opportunity to highlight the unique and powerful local businesses that fill each community and to promote Independent We Stand's second annual America's Main Streets Contest.
