Brett Paull was awarded his Ph.D. from Plymouth University in 1994 and began his academic career within the School of Chemistry, University of Tasmania. From there Dr Paull moved to Dublin City University in 1998, where he is currently an Associate Professor of Analytical Science, and the Director of the Irish Separation Science Cluster (ISSC). His research interests are based within the fields of analytical, bioanalytical and environmental chemistry, particularly fundamental and applied aspects of separation science, including new materials and technologies for application within high-performance liquid and gas chromatography, ion chromatography and capillary electrophoretic based methods, coupled techniques and micro-fluidic platforms. Dr Paull is author and co-author of more than 130 published papers, reviews and book chapters in the above fields, and recipient of a number of scientific awards, including the RSC SAC Silver Medal in 2005. In addition to his current role of Editor-in-Chief for Analytical Methods, Dr Paull also holds a position on the Editorial board of the Journal of Chromatography A.
