摘要

New chromogenic reagents p-dimethylamino benzaldehyde-(p-anisyl)-thiosemicar-bazone(DBATSC)and glyoxal(p-anisyl)-thiosemicarbazone(GATSC)interacts with palladium(II)to give coloured species.The accurate determination of these metal ions by direct and derivative spectrophotometry has been discussed.The developed methods are simple,sensitive and selective in aqueous medium without prior separation or extraction.This method has been applied for the spectrophotometric determination of palladium(II)in various synthetic mixtures and hydrogenation catalysts.
