Using the Properties of a One-Sheet Hyperboloid in Bearings with Cylindrical Rollers

The development of a new bearing with cylindrical rollers and raceways corresponding to the surface of a one-sheet hyperboloid is considered. The bearing is designed to withstand significant radial and axial loads and is intended to support the rollers in strip-rolling mills. In industrial machines, roller bearings permit the rotation of shafts and help withstand the loads applied to the shafts. Bearings with cylindrical, conical, and spherical rollers are widely used [1]. In the present work, we consider radial bearings with cylindrical rollers. Attention focuses on their use in strip-rolling mills.
