Trump's policies set to boost US growth

The US President Donald Trump's plans for big spending increases and tax cuts should boost the country's economic growth over the next two years, says the International Monetary Fund in its latest economic outlook. The new outlook puts US economic growth at 2.3 per cent this year and 2.5 per cent in 2018, an improvement from the lacklustre US growth around 1.6 per cent in 2016.
