November gas futures moved 2% higher to close in the upper $2.80s per million Btu as some Gulf of Mexico natural gas production remains offline (Briefly Noted). The prompt month rose 5.8￠ to close at $2.891/MMBtu and traded in a range from $2.833 to $2.896. The 12- month strip was 3.5￠ higher at $3.017, while the 2018 strip rose 2.8￠ to $3.037 (Futures contracts).
