TRAVERSE CITY,Mich.-Oilfield Tools,Inc.has served the oil and gas industry in Michigan and the Northeastern U.S.since 1987 by providing specialized downhole oil tools and offering experienced supervision to assist their customers with a broad range of drilling,completion,rework,and remedial solutions.The company's founder and president,Matt Fagerstrom,has worked in the Michigan oilpatch for more than 42 years.He broke out in the business as a roughneck for James Bigard Drilling Co.in 1979 while earning an associates degree from Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City in the school's Petroleum Technology program.He later worked for Otis Engineering in Kalkaska,attended wireline schools in Dallas and then worked for Baker Service Tools in Mt.Pleasant,Michigan before establishing Oilfield Tools,Inc.in Traverse City.
