Amag: Significant earnings growth and record shipments in 2016

Amag Austria Metall AG looks back on asuccessful 2016 business year. The companyachieved record shipments for thesixth consecutive year. Driven by strongdemand for aluminium, particularly fromthe transport industry, shipments climbedto an all-time high of 405,900 tonnes, up6% compared with the previous year.Net income after taxes improved 14%to 46.3 million euros. The volume andearnings growth underscores the growthcourse at the group's main site in Ranshofen,supported by the installation ofnew equipment and productivity improvements.
