JUKI Corporation reported consolidated sales of 97,724 million yen for the fiscal year ending in December 2016 (down 13.4% compared to the previous fiscal year). The decrease in net sales is mainly because of prolonged economic stagnation and effects of a stronger Japanese currency compared to the previous fiscal, along with deepening uncertainties over the global economy, generated by the slowdown of the Chinese economy.
