Ovarian vein thrombosis (OVT) is a rare condition that has been commonly associated with malignancy, peripartum period, abdominal and pelvic surgery, chronic inflammatory diseases, and thrombophilia.1"3 It complicates 0.05%-0.17% of pregnancies and has been reported to be incidentally diagnosed in 80% of the cancer patients who underwent total abdominal hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy in the postoperative period.
