Three incorporation manners of Mn, i.e., as an additive, substituting Fe site, and substituting Ti site, were used in preparing Mn-doped 0.5BiFeO(3)-0.5SrTiO(3) ceramics. The results indicate that the incorporation manner has a significant influence on the dielectric, ferroelectric, and magnetic properties of the prepared ceramics. Both Mn as an additive and as a dopant substituting Fe site reduce the dielectric loss and improve the breakdown field of 0.5BiFeO(3)-0.5SrTiO(3) ceramics. Thus, slim ferroelectric hysteresis loops were observed in these ceramics. Moreover, Mn as a dopant substituting Fe site enhances the magnetization of 0.5BiFeO(3)-0.5SrTiO(3). (C) 2021 Elsevier B.V.
