Pacific Northwest primes LNG facility

Calgary—Canada’s Pacific Northwest LNG will file by the end of the month a regulatory application for an LNG facility near Prince Rupert, British Columbia, even as it keeps the door open for more partners to develop the multibillion dollar gas export venture, company president Greg Kist said Monday. The application will be filed with the National Energy Board for a license to export 12 million metric tons a year from the facility, with an option to raise exports to 18 million mt/year, Kist said in an interview.
