China's LNG appetite to spike in coming months

Singapore-China will increasingly rely on spot LNG cargoes during the winter season in order to make up for a supply shortfall as domestic natural gas demand spikes. Consultants Wood Mackenzie said in a report issued Friday that they expect demand in the current winter season-lasting from October to March-to hit 88 billion cubic meters in China, up 16% year on year.
