KNOC, Gs Energy win Abu Dhabi oil concession

Seoul-A consortium of South Korea’s GS Energy and KNOC has been awarded a 3% stake in Abu Dhabi’s ADCO oil concession, becoming the third joint venture partners in the 1.8 million b/d onshore development, sources in Seoul confirmed Wednesday. Abu Dhabi National Oil Co., or ADNOC, confirmed the deal with GS E&P, a wholly owned subsidiary of GS Energy Corp, in a statement to state-run Wam news agency, saying the deal takes effect as of January 1, 2015.
