Australian Senex finds new oil field in Cooper Basin

Sydney—Australian junior Senex Energy has discovered a new oil field with its Mustang-1 well on the western flank of the onshore Cooper Basin, the company said July 17. The well flowed at an “excellent” rate, equivalent to 2,484 b/d, and will be cased and suspended as a future producer, Senex said. The oil produced was 45.4 degree API.
