OECD Warns on G20 Growth

The head of the OECD warned Monday of the risk of major economies slipping into recession unless concerted international efforts are made to boost growth prospects. "Bold decisions are needed from the G20 leaders meeting in Cannes this week to get the global economy back on track," OECD Secretary-General Angel Gurria said. An important first step has already been taken with the eurozone rescue plan agreed last week, but these measures must be implemented "prompt- ly and forcefully," he added (IOD Oct.28'11).
