IGM Resins switches private equity owners

Private equity frm Arsenal Capital (New York) has sold photoinitiators maker IGM Resins (Waalwijk, the Netherlands) to Astorg (London), another private equity frm, for an undisclosed sum. IGM Resins makes ultravio-let (UV) curable materials for the coatings and inks market, with applica- tions in graphic arts, electronics, optical coatings, and adhesives. Astorg plans to provide “adequate capital resources and enhanced M&A capa- bilities” for IGM, says Nicolas Marian, director at the frm. Astorg owns a diverse portfolio of company focused on the healthcare and manufac- turing sectors. IGM completed four acquisitions under Arsenal’s owner- ship, and “executed an aggressive organic growth strategy,” according to Sal Gagliardo, industry and operations partner at Arsenal.
