Natural energy systems such as photovoltaic energy systems and wind turbine energy systems are considered to be environmentally conscious from the viewpoint of carbon dioxide emission and resource depletion. The energy cost, however, supplied from natural energy systems is higher than conventional fossil fuel systems, which makes wide spreading of natural energy systems difficult. These days, there is a tendency in some consumer to pay more money for electricity generated from natural energy systems. In this paper, we report the result of I survey using contingent valuation method on willingness to pay for natural energy a month by Japanese household. The median value of willingness to pay for natural energy by Japanese household is estimated to be about two thousand yen a month.
