A displacement sensor of a solenoid type

A differential-and-transformer solenoid sensor to detect large displacements is described. The design of the sensor, which is sectionalized into several identical LC-circuits, enables a wide measurement range to be obtained. An approach to determining the characteristics of two design options of the sensor, which can be used for its designing, is described. The basic electrical circuit of the sensor is presented.
