摘要

The method for calculating the external characteristics of multiphase valve generators made on the basis of a salient pole synchronous machine and a thyristor rectifier is presented taking into account the armature reaction and the switching impedance. It was stated that the active resistance of the winding reduces the switching interval, linearizes the switching transient process and brings the armature phase current periodic curve nearer to a trapezium shape. The external characteristics are compared for three- and five-phase valve generators with the excitation from permanent magnets and electromagnets. Parametric families of these characteristics for various angles of thyristor control are presented in a universal dimensionless form.
