Continuous casting of steel with molten metal stirring in crystallizer and ingot

摘要

The method of the continuous cast steelsolidification based on the simultaneous stirring of the moltenmetal in the crystalliser and the residual molten metal in the ingotis disscussed. The stirring forces are generated by interactionbetween the static magnetic field and the direct current flowinglongitudinally through the slab. The changes of slab structure takinplace after magnetic field effect are analysed. The results of theindustry application of the technology and its parameters are also presernted.
