摘要

Gasification of biomass has been usually carried out at very high temperature. We have developed catalysts for catalytic gasification of biomass at lower reaction temperature using cellulose as a model compound of biomass. It is found that Rh/CeO_2 gave the highest yield of synthesis gas formation among various supported catalysts. When we tested the Rh/CeO_2 catalyst using continuous feeding reactor, the deactivation was observed. Therefore, Rh/CeO_2/ SiO_2 was prepared and tested, it showed high and stable activity of the catalytic gasification of cellulose even at low temperature. This can give the highly efficient process for the production of syngas via biomass gasification.
