A proposal of a duality analysis method using the similarity in access log distribution

Access log distribution to web site exhibits characteristics described by Lotoka's law(Zipf's law). To investigate the characteristics, we analyze modified access logs in which destination addresses are reduced, and we found a similarity between the shape of the original access log distribution and that of the modified access log distribution. So, we propose an analysis method using similarity in access logs, that estimate the distribution for further access increase in web site with the distribution for modified current access logs in which destination addresses are reduced.
