摘要

We propose a new method to estimate the three dimensional topography of the remotely displaced area using moving pictures taken by the synthetic aperture radar. In this paper, we show the theory of the proposed method, and indicate that the necessary condition of the algorithm is satisfied generally by the observational conditions of the synthetic aperture radar. A model of the height accuracy is also derived, and is evaluated using computer simulations. Although the height accuracy of the proposed method is degraded than the accuracy of the interferometric synthetic aperture radar, it has the advantage of no necessity for phase unwrapping.
