摘要

Almost copper wire rods were manufactured with a continuous casting and hot rolling process such as the Contirod system. Because of quality control of wire rods, it's important to control of cooling factors in a continuous casting process. A continuous casting of copper in a twin- belt caster of the Contirod system was simulated using the finite element method code "MARC". The mathematical model of two dimensional heat transfer was considered. Cooling factors of this solidification process were studied and clarified. The relation between a casting conditions and metallurgical structure was identified.
