摘要

The effect of tensile stress (30 and 100MPa) on the age -hardening (or precipitation sequence) and dimensional change of a Cu- Be 25 alloy during aging at 593K after water- quenching from 1093K was examined mainly by a hardness tester and transmission electron microscopy. The alloy produces a contraction stress (inner tensile stress) of about 25MPa originated in the precipitation of the γ' phase. The continuously applied tensile stresses of 30 and 100MP during aging at 593K accelerated the γ' phase precipitation and age - hardening. The aging with an applied stress resulted in the elongation of a specimen to a applied stress direction.
