Development of UEC52LSE Marine Diesel Engine

摘要

All Mitsubishi UEC-LSII series engine modelswere completed in 1998. Some 200 units have been in servicemainly as marine propulsion engines. Based on satisfactoryservice results, we started developing the UEC52LSE engine toattain high power and meet environmental requirements. Thishigh-power, high-cost-efficiency engine has a power ratio 15percent higher than conventional models in the same class whileconsuming the same amount of fuel. We used the LS II enginedesign concept and verified design using know-howaccumulated in our diesel engine development. We confirmedperformance and reliability analytically.
