SPIRAL-J: design of user environment with intelligent information integration functions and its development in Java

摘要

SPIRAL is an integrated user environment with information integration functions for information-use support over the Internet. To support businesses and intellectual productivity, SPIRAL introduces workflow in which activities of information gathering, editing, and sending(sharing) are continuously repeated. When user access to web sites, SPIRAL stores not only the URLs, but also the contents with time stamp. So, the user can access not only new contents on Internet, but also the old contents stored in SPIRAL. As editing functions, SPIRAL has functions of annotations, page-grouping, and information integration using data bases. As sending functions, SPIRAL has functions publishing pages edited using the editing functions. In this article, we propose re-design of core architecture of SPIRAL and its development in Java.
