摘要

We proposed a video-transmission method that recovers the video degradation imposed by data losses at the receiver P and I-pictures have high priority while B-pictures have low priority. This method uses the divided motion vector of next P-picture to the B-picture, which was lost in transmission. This method can improve the video quality. Unfortunately, the block-noise created by quick motion triggers an increase in intra-macroblock frequency. This paper introduces an improved recovery method that decreases block-noise by adding temporary motion-vectors to intra-macroblocks to decrease the difference from intermacroblocks. A key result is the preservation of object edges; improvements are also seen in terms of PSNR and PQR values. A subjective evaluation indicates that the improvement in recovered video quality is discernable.
