Getting a better handle on animal behaviour

AS AN industry, animal welfare is of critical concern to all of us. It matters how cattle are treated at each stage of their lives. How cattle were treated before they enter the feedlot directly impacts on performance, employee safety and general atmosphere. How cattle are treated when they leave the feedlot directly impacts on meat quality, which filters back to our industry through increased or decreased demand for our ultimate product. If we all think 'beef industry' while doing our everyday activities, our individual businesses will benefit in the long run.
