Due to technology evolution and falling computer prices, CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) technology has become increasingly applied to the fields of product design and production. In the automobile industry, various kinds of electronic components and devices have been developed through the use of CAE, which has become one of the most important tools for creating optimized designs for miniaturization and increased performance. In our company, CAE technology is utilized for a wide range of applications, including structural design, acoustics, vibration, fluid dynamics and electromagnetic analysis. This paper presents four application examples of each analysis field for special areas concerning automobiles. In the example of the analysis for the magnetic circuit, a genetic algorithm applied method is proposed for the optimal structure design.
