High-speed CIM line for multi-model single-piece production of kitchen cabinet components

In the kitchen cabinet production line, high operation rate and high-speed processing, which are the features of limited-model large-quantity production, have been achieved via multi-model single-piece production by devising (1) Simultaneous transfer control, (2) Integrated control for each type of processing unit, (3) Computation control of the shortest hole-processing time, and (4) Autonomous equipment control system of performing advance operations. Previous multi-model single-piece production strategies prioritized the control of continuously producing different components, thereby reducing the line speed due to a variety of loss times (switchover. communication, waiting etc.). Through the development of a control system for performing advance operations and parallel operations by autonomous judgment on each piece of equipment, a multi-model single-piece production line that features high processing speed and productivity equivalent to a limited-model large-quantity production system has been achieved. The developed system has helped build an SCM environment for the entire production system.
