摘要

A dual beam antenna, which makes two 60 degrees width beams on horizontal plane though only one antenna volume, is proposed to use a base station platform effectively. The antenna whose side lobe levels are suppressed is analytically designed for increasing the system capacity on IMT-2000. But, there are some problems on the simulation for the design, because it neglects impedance matching for antenna feed point and the dielectric radome covering the base station antenna element. In this paper, it specified that the required frequency band width is provided for employing a wide print type dipole antenna for the antenna elements and the effectiveness of a radome is examined about the input impedance and radiation patterns with the aim of commercialization of a dual beam antenna.
