The JEM (Japanese Experiment Module) exposed facility (EF) will be launched by the NSTS, installed on the International Space Station "Alpha" and operate as a test facility exposed to the space environment. The bread board model (BBM) and engineering model are being developed. The structure thermal model (STM), a BBM test, started from June 1994 and was completed in March 1995. The STM have successfully completed all the development tests, and fulfilled the purpose of the tests. In this second report, the thermal balance test and structural strength test results are described to obtain design data for the thermal mathematic model and ultimate strength of the structure.
