摘要

In order to improve the technique of allowing for thin coatings and to check its usability in presence of curved boundary surfaces, the excitation of the uniform circular cylinder with thin dielectric coating is considered. The solution is acquired by two methods. The first is based on the supplement of the rigorous method of eigenfunctions (EFM) with the equivalent polarization current in the coating volume. The second method uses the nonuniform boundary conditions within the framework of EFM (infinitely thin coating approximation). The introduction of the polarization currents permits us to consider the features of nonuniform coatings with different thickness in the most effective manner. In the framework of this problem's solution it is possible to investigate different ways of the field's approximation in the coating volume and the properties of the conforming algorithms.
