A study on management information model of Ethernet based metro and access networks

摘要

This report shows our definition of Ethernet and VLAN management information model, containing NE View and Network View, under multi-vender environment. This model has been studied in order to manage Ethernet-like connectionless networks, as well as connection-oriented networks, and targeted for wide area networks. We present mutual relationship between the layer 2 management information model and layer I management information model for Ethernet over WDM metro and access networks. We also propose the deployment of the management functions on EMS and NMS.
