The range of plant associations of the bogs of the northern taiga.

This paper concludes the survey of the bog vegetation of the north of Russia. Three associations are considered which are found only along the border between the taiga and forest-tundra zones, one of which belongs to the class Oxycocco-Sphagnetea, and the other two to the class Vaccinietea uliginosi. A short review of class Oxycocco-Sphagnetea is given, and its regional specificity is demonstrated. A description of the association Hepatico-Baeothryetum cespitosi (of class Scheuchzerio-Caricetea nigrae) is also presented, along with descriptions of 3 new associations (Vaccinio-Chamaepericlmenetum suecici, Carici globularii-Betuletum nanae and Betulo nanae-Sphagnetum angustifolii).
