Implementing new technology into an existing mining operation can deliver a positive change in operation and commercial benefits. But integrating new technologies is connected to a number of challenges that might also result in the rejection of the innovative technology. Detailed planning, robust project management, a good customer relationship and an exact evaluation of meaningful Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are therefore the main aspects to focus on when managing the implementation process and overcoming these risks.
