Leaf epidermal Anatomy of Pakistani colorful Solanum lycopersicum - An Identification Marker

Anatomical variation among the ornamental and local available fruits, including elongated green and red, round yellow and pink fruits leaves. The anatomical observation included size, shape of epidermal cells, arrangement, variation in trichomes, stomata with subsidiary cells and different shapes of silica bodies. The average length of organelles was providing more clear difference as compare to full length and width. No significance diversity has observed in anatomy except the subsidiary cells shape range from tetra to polygonal, staurocytic, anomotetracytic stomata and trichomes with different multiradiating arms. So the shape of leaf epidermal cells could not be utilized significantly in delimiting the closely related taxa.
