Lenzing has a new version of Tencel called Refibra which is made from materials derivedfrom cotton waste and wood, and Eastman Chemical Company has a new cellulosic yarn called Naia which is made using a near-closed loop process. PrimaLoft has a new version of PrimaLoft Gold Insulation Active incorporating 45% recycled content, and Cordura and DuPont Tate & Lyle Bio Products are developing environmentally sustainable performance fabrics. American & Efird (A&E) has a new sewing thread incorporating Repreve filament yarn made from recycled materials produced by Unifi while Unifi and Century Synthetic Fiber Corporation will make Repreve filament yarn in Vietnam. Boll & Branch has launched a new flannel bedding and accessories collection made from 100% organic cotton, and Grund America has a new bathroom rug and towel collection made from organic cotton. Milliken has a new environmentally sustainable upholstery fabric collection called Breathe by Milliken, West Elm has a kitchen linen and table linen collection made using cotton obtained by upcycling denim fabric scraps, and Lindex has a women's apparel collection called Re.Design which is made from upcycled denim garments. Mango has an environmentally sustainable apparel collection called Mango Committed, Athleta has a range of Fair Trade Certified apparel items, and Berghaus is expanding its Made Kind outdoor apparel products collection. Parley for the Oceans and Adidas have developed football jerseys and a running shoe incorporating fibres made from recycled plastic waste recovered from the oceans, and Bolt Threads has developed an environmentally sustainable necktie made from its proprietary synthetic spider silk fibre. 13 more companies have joined the Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) Programme, Bobo Choses, OVS, Peak Performance, Primark and Star Sock have signed up to the European Clothing Action Plan (ECAP), and Patagonia will make more products in Fair Trade Certified factories. The first certificates for compliance with the Leather Standard by Oeko-Tgx have been awarded, and Textile Exchange and NSF International will merge the Responsible Down Standard (RDS) and the Global Traceable Down Standard (Global TDS). H&M Foundation has awarded Euro 1 mn for new innovations to reduce waste in the fashion supply chain, and the Fibersort partner consortium has received Euro2.0 mn from the Interreg NWE Programme to commercialise the Fibersort textile sorting machine.
