The forecast for floaters in the Mediterranean and Black Sea shows average demand of 2.2 semis and 2.9 drillships for 2019. Two drillships are expected to leave the Mediterranean and Black Sea fleet over the coming year: Saipem 12000 will depart for Portugal in late first quarter or early second quarter when it has completed its current contract offshore Cyprus; Noble Globetrotter II is expected to mobilise to Kenya in third quarter 2018. The situation in the Caspian is unchanged, with just three semis working, three idle, and Dada Gorgud still in the yard while on contract to BP. Newbuild semi Heydar Aliyev was initially expected to enter service this month, but is now expected to continue acceptance testing until May. For 2019, average semi demand in the Caspian sits at 1.0.
