Bitumen/Import to Ukraine in January-September 2003

The article analyzes import of bitumen to Ukraine over the first nine months of 2003. tentatively 195 ths. Tons of petroleum bitumen were imported to Ukraine over the period under review 1.9 times exceeding the index of the corresponding period of 2002. average prices herewith constituted approximately USD/MT 144 against USD/MT 100 in January-September 2002. geographically bitumen was imported from 6 countries of the world. Approximately 87 percent of he total export fall for viscous road bitumen in January-September 2003 with the average price reaching USD/MT 144. Roughly 10 percent of the total petroleum bitumen import constituted deliveries of construction bitumen at the price USD/MT 136. the share of roofing bitumen worth UDS/MT 138 made around 3 percent.
