Advanced manufacturing is an extremely exciting area for quality professionals - with a host of new technologies, materials and ideas in play. In this edition of Quality World, we speak to two centres, one in the UK and another in the US, who are working with manufacturers to move the agenda forward, giving us a taster of just some of the projects they are working on. We also look at the application of artificial intelligence, to see how this technology is being applied. It's all a clear reminder, if any of us needed it, that things are moving extremely quickly. The years ahead will be a steep learning curve for us all.
